A recent BBS post by the localization team explain that some minor parts may not be translated.

Update 3/9/06: Peter Payne has updated on the status of the game and the in-game buttons will be translated after all. See the full report here.


A recent BBS post (2/21/06) by Peter Payne and Lamuness, members of the localization team of Peach Princess's Doushin - Same Heart, provided some interesting details regarding the North American localization of the game.

Here is the excerpt from the message board:

"Doushin is coming along, I'm happy to say. There's unfortunately a good chance that much of the game (game buttons like save and load) will have remain in Japanese, as the data is not available to us to localize. We plan to include a good instruction card to make it easy to figure out which options are which, but I'd like to know your thoughts on this. In general it is a really good game, with a fresh game concept (since you play as the three girls, who are the main characters of the game). Same creators as Tokimeki Check in. I'm bummed that we won't be able to port everything on screen though."

They further explained that because of hard drive crashes and the original staff members of the development team leaving Crowd (the developers of the game), the on-screen parts are no longer in Crowd's posesssion and therefore the on-screen buttons (save, load, etc.) cannot be localized.

Peach Princess will however, have a full game manual with all the information clearly included with the release of the game.

The translation for Doushin - Same Heart is already complete and the debugging is finishing up so expect the game to be available soon.
