A fantastic story with an ideal blend of suspense, romance, and mystery.
Hirameki’s second Anime Play Interactive Visual Novel PC game, Ever 17 -The Out of Infinity-, is the first game in KID’s (Kindle Imagine Develop) popular Infinity series to come to North America. Ever 17 -The Out of Infinity- delivers an amazing story with great characters that will draw you into the world of the Infinity Series!
Title Screen
Description: It is May 1, 2017, 12:51 p.m. Without warning, seven people are trapped at a depth of 167 feet in the marine sea park LeMU. Water, air and food are in short supply. Deep in the ocean resides an unknown virus. The structure is relentlessly assaulted by the harsh water pressure and LeMU's protective bulkhead is to collapse within 119 hours.
Time is limited for those enclosed in LeMU. The bonds among the seven people trapped in the ocean grow stronger as they fight to find a way to escape and survive the danger that threatens them. These are bonds of friendship, and bonds of love. But time waits for no one and the time limit slowly but steadily approaches.

Story: The story of Ever 17 is simply incredible and I don’t think it could be properly done in any format other than a videogame. Unfortunately, this is unexplainable without spoilers, but I can say that the story will have you wanting to replay the game until you complete the final scenario. Ever 17's wonderfully crafted story is touching and will leave a lasting impression that will be appreciated by all.
Although the story actually starts off a bit slow and confusing at first; after the first hour or so I was completely drawn into the world of Ever 17. After finishing my first scenario, I kept on going over the story in my mind as there were still many unanswered questions and before I knew it I was already replaying the game and trying a different scenario. There were quite a few scenes that filled my eyes with tears and also parts that had me rolling on the floor laughing. Each of the unique story paths provide a clue as to how the characters came to LeMU, but many of the bigger mysteries in the game such as why Sara isn’t seen from Takeshi’s perspective and how Kid lost his memory won’t be answered until the final scenario where everything ties together flawlessly, leaving nothing regarding the story unanswered. There are a total of eight different endings and three epilogues, and for the game to be fully appreciated you must reach the final scenario’s ending. When I finished the last scenario there was such an uplifting feeling of satisfaction, like having read a good book. Be sure to do yourself a favor and avoid spoilers at all costs!
For the U.S. release Hirameki has swapped the classic Japanese folktale story of Taro Urashima with the story of Rip Van Winkle since most people in North America are unfamiliar with the Japanese folktale. The translation has a few grammatical errors, but it’s nothing that should take away from the experience.
